The 2006 Head Start and Early Head Start Financial Pre-Institute and Directors’ Institute was held December 11 – 15 in Washington, DC and brought together participants from American Samoa, the Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and around the United States.
The Financial Pre-Institute and Directors’ Institute hosted over 650 and 400 participants, respectively. Over the four and one-half days, intensive workshops and learning opportunities were focused on “Leading with a Vision: Managing Change and Creating Quality.” Additional features included a hands-on Demo District that showcased useful software applications; a Marketplace of resources on Head Start National Contractors and other Federal partners; a Film Forum; a chance to speak with a Conflict Resolution Specialist; and lots of networking opportunities.
