Strategies for
Success: Recruiting and Engaging Head Start Fathers
Recruiting
and engaging fathers has proven to be difficult in
some areas. This workshop will assist Head Start staff to involve fathers in
recruitment efforts and to develop activities that sustain parental involvement
over time. The presenter uses interactive exercises to engage Head Start staff
in the process of identifying short- and long-term goals with the fathers,
planning and coordinating activities and events, and communicating expectations
of participation to the fathers.
