National Office of Head Start conferences address priority issues at the national level and provide a forum for partnering in the early childhood development field. Workshops and plenary sessions are designed to enhance professional skill development and expand leadership competencies. The HSRC plans and conducts a number of meetings and focus groups for the Office of Head Start (OHS) each year, including the National Head Start Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) Network Meeting and the Head Start-State Collaboration Network Meeting.

The Head Start Bulletin and other publications are prepared by the HSRC. Programs can submit contributions for the Bulletin to: The National Head Start T/TA Resource Center, 1000 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 1000, Arlington, VA 22209.

Other publications prepared for OHS in recent years include Head Start, Medicaid, CHIP: Partners for Healthy Children; the Head Start Center Design Guide; Head Start Report on Serving Homeless Families; National Head Start T/TA Network Annual Program Overview; Head Start Higher Education Partnerships; and an Early Head Start Brochure.

The Head Start-State Collaboration Offices receive broad support from the HSRC. Information on a wide range of topics pertinent to the Offices is gathered and distributed by the HSRC, which also responds to requests for information on State Collaboration activities. The HSRC publishes the annual Overview of the Head Start State Collaboration Offices. In addition, the HSRC plans and provides logistical support for State Collaboration Network meetings.

Reports and Analyses include information on Office of Head Start priorities and accomplishments; T/TA needs in the regions; and promising practices and innovations in the field. The HSRC also prepares reports on other key matters, such as distance learning, Father Involvement Model Programs, and the use of quality improvement funds.
