Conference Acknowledgements

The National Head Start Child Development Institute was planned and implemented with the support of many people. In particular, the Office of Head Start thanks those who served on the Design Team for their valuable contributions. The Design Team was convened through the leadership of Helen H. Taylor, Associate Commissioner of the Office of Head Start. Members of the Design Team included specialists in the areas of child development and education, health services, family and community partnerships, and program design and management. They represented both Head Start and Early Head Start from various areas of service, program options, and program settings. This included technical assistance providers, front-line staff, and individuals with extensive experience in program monitoring. Their input and perspectives ensure that the National Head Start Child Development Institute offers state-of-the-art knowledge in areas critical to Head Start and Early Head Start leaders and managers. The Design Team's guidance "raises the bar" on program quality to benefit children and families across the country.
