Love Our Families, Teach Our Kids

The old saying goes families that play together, stay together. However, playing is only one way to teach your kids responsibility and caring. When you love your family with all its flaws, your children will learn to do the same. As a result, children tend to be more friendly with people who are “different” than others such as a person with disabilities. Children by nature are curious. However sometimes a child’s curiosity can be seen as rude by a person who has been ridiculed or picked on due to some disability or perceived imperfection.Didn’t catch that? This explains it.

When a family is a loving, caring unit, children will learn these same behaviors and as a result will be more kind towards others. When we spend time showing our love for our family, children learn to love and forgive instead of carrying around hate and distrust. When a child is distrustful of another individual without any known cause, it usually can be traced to a point in their lives when they felt unloved for a long period of time. These problems are often seen in children who are in foster care. Feeling unwanted and inadequate causes many problems for a child today. Learn to love and to show your love for your family and teach our kids to be loving individuals.
